Terms of service
Last updated: [date — to be set by the owner on approval]
These terms govern your use of IBNR, operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME — to be completed by the owner]. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
IBNR sends you a daily email of job opportunities for actuaries and insurance data scientists, matched to your CV rather than to keywords you configure. The website is the console where you create an account, upload your CV, review the profile extracted from it, and manage your preferences and subscription. The product itself is the email.
We send at most one alert email per day, and only when there is something relevant to send. Every alert email contains a one-click unsubscribe link that pauses alerts without deleting your account.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must provide accurate information when signing up and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. The service is intended for professionals managing their own job search; one account per person.
The service currently covers actuarial and insurance data science roles. If the profile extracted from your CV falls outside that coverage, we tell you so and no payment is requested; we may keep your email to let you know when coverage extends to your field.
3. Beta access
During the closed beta, access is granted through invitation codes distributed by us. A code is personal, single-use, and grants access free of charge for the duration of the beta. Beta access does not guarantee any future free access and may be modified or withdrawn as the beta evolves.
4. Subscriptions and payment
When paid plans are enabled, the service is offered as a monthly or annual subscription. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Prices are shown before checkout. You can cancel, change plan, or download invoices at any time through the Stripe customer portal linked from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
5. Your CV and your data
You keep all rights to your CV. By uploading it you allow us to store it and to process it — including automated extraction of your professional profile — strictly to provide the service. How we store and protect it is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
You can replace your CV, correct the extracted profile, and delete your account at any time. Deleting your account removes your CV file and your data, as described in the privacy policy.
6. Acceptable use
Do not upload content that is unlawful, that you have no right to share, or that contains malicious code. Do not attempt to probe, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the service or to other users' data. Do not resell or redistribute the alerts.
7. No employment guarantee
Alerts are informational. Job opportunities are published by third parties; we do not verify them, we are not a party to any application or hiring process, and we do not guarantee that any alert leads to an interview or a job. Matching is automated and may miss relevant opportunities or include imperfect ones — the feedback links in each email help improve it.
8. Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from the account page. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, with notice where reasonably possible. Sections that by nature survive termination (liability, governing law) survive it.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as is, and our liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. [Owner review required: liability caps and consumer-law carve-outs depend on the jurisdiction chosen below.]
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. If a change is material, we will notify you by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by [governing law and jurisdiction — to be completed by the owner].
